On July 19, the Guangdong Exhibitor Attraction and Investment Promotion Conference and Signing Ceremony for the First China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Guangzhou. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Zhang Yurun, Deputy Secretary-General of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, attended the conference and delivered speeches.

Ren Hongbin said that organizing the CISCE marks a concrete action to implement the important initiative of General Secretary Xi Jinping to keep global industrial and supply chains stable and unimpeded, and a practical measure to deepen international cooperation on global industrial and supply chains. With unique advantages and professional characteristics, the CISCE is the world’s first national exhibition with the theme of supply chain, a new platform to pursue high-standard opening up, and a public good that ensures global industrial and supply chains are stable and unimpeded and facilitates exchanges and cooperation. The CCPIT will give play to the roles of the CISCE in four aspects, namely, trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation agglomeration and mutual learning, and strive to build stable and resilient global industrial and supply chains.

Zhang Yurun pointed out that the CISCE is an important move that proactively serves the building of a new development pattern, and creates more space for development for Chinese modernization through high-standard opening up. It is also an important platform to help Guangdong deepen its international cooperation and achieve growth on industrial and supply chains. Guangdong should make good use of this international and high-end platform to display excellent enterprises, promote enabling business environment, and fully leverage global resources. Moreover, the province should also push forward industrial agglomeration, foster synergies among upstream and downstream enterprises of the industrial chain, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

More than 20 representative enterprises signed contracts with the China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) on site. Attendees also include persons in charge of related departments of the CCPIT and the Guangdong Province, responsible officials of relevant CCPIT Sub-Councils at the municipal level and representatives from relevant enterprises.
