On July 24, the Briefing on the 16th China-Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit and Promotion of the First China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was successfully held in Beijing. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the event.

Zhang Shaogang said that in recent years, China-LAC economic and trade cooperation has seen all-around development and yielded remarkable results. As a flagship brand in China-LAC practical cooperation, the 16th edition of the China-LAC Business Summit will be held in Beijing from November 2 to 3 this year, which is followed by the first CISCE to be hosted by the CCPIT in the same city from November 28 to December 2. Zhang expressed that the CCPIT welcomes the Latin American and Caribbean sides to actively participate in the above events to jointly tap the potential for China-LAC economic and trade cooperation and boost pragmatic exchanges and cooperation among enterprises.

About 40 ambassadors and representatives from 24 LAC countries attended the event.
