On July 18, the Zhejiang Exhibitor Attraction and Investment Promotion Conference and Signing Ceremony for the First China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Hangzhou. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Lu Shan, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, attended the conference and delivered speeches.

Ren Hongbin stated that holding the first CISCE is an important move to actively serve the forging of a new development pattern and expand the Chinese modernization development space with high-standard opening-up. As the world’s first national exhibition themed on the supply chain, the first CISCE is an open international platform that fosters connection of every stage of the supply chain, including upstream, midstream and downstream. It also promotes integration of large, medium, and small enterprises, collaboration among industry, academia, research and application, as well as interaction between domestic and foreign enterprises. The CCPIT will give play to the roles of the CISCE in four aspects, namely, trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation agglomeration and mutual learning so that CISCE can be a public good for the whole world that features win-win cooperation and contribute to preserving the diversity and stability of the international economic landscape and economic and trade relations.

Lu Shan stressed that holding the first CISCE is of great significance. Zhejiang highly values the exhibitor attraction and investment promotion for the first CISCE and will combine the efforts to participate in the CISCE with the launching of the Shilian Baichang Wanqi campaign (which refers to the holding of hundreds of activities themed on the province’s 10 landmark industrial chains with the participation of tens of thousands of enterprises), to deepen the international cooperation on industrial and supply chains with concrete actions. All departments and organizations in the province should take responsibilities and work closely with each other to organize enterprises to participate in the CISCE, provide them with better services and ensure that they derive greater benefits and satisfaction.

A total of 45 representative enterprises signed contracts with the China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) on site. Attendees also include persons in charge of relevant departments of the CCPIT, responsible officials from related departments of the Zhejiang Province and 11 CCPIT sub-councils at the municipal level, as well as relevant enterprise representatives.
