Intellectual Property Convoys Supply Chains Forum
The Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development and Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035 pointed out the need to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern in which the domestic and international markets reinforce each other, with the domestic market as the mainstay. Deploying the innovation chain around the industrial chain and the industrial chain layout around the innovation chain are the keys to achieving a dual circulation of the industrial chain. While the integration between China’s innovation chain and industrial chain has shown significant results, it still has some shortcomings when viewed against the background of the national innovation strategy, the global innovation trend, and the economic upgrading trend. It is crucial to carry out solid actions to promote the strengthening and protection of the innovation chain, and to promote the deep integration of the patent chain, industrial chain, innovation chain, funding chain, and talent chain. This will facilitate the integration of intellectual property rights into the entire chain, including scientific and technological research and development, technology transfer, commercialization, and benefit distribution, and help enhance the resilience and security of the industrial chain and supply chain.
Against this backdrop, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Commercial and Legal Service Center plans to collaborate with CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office and China Patent Agent (HK) Ltd. to host a supporting forum titled “Intellectual Property Convoys Supply Chains” during the first China International Supply Chain Expo. The forum will focus on the key, focal, and challenging issues related to the integration between the innovation chain and the supply chain, and explore how to better promote the organic connection between the innovation chain and the supply chain.
