On April 1, the promotional event for the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China-Belgium Clean Energy Cooperation and Exchange Forum were held in Brussels. The event was co-hosted by the Representative Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to the EU (Belgium) and the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC). More than 60 representatives from the governments, enterprises and industry organizations of both China and Belgium attended the event. Counselor Xie Yajing from the Chinese Embassy in Belgium was present.

Bernard Dewit, Chairman of the BCECC, stated that the industrial and supply chains of China and Belgium are highly complementary. He added that against the backdrop of energy transition, the potential for clean energy cooperation of the two countries continues to be realized. Meanwhile, the BCECC will organize Belgian enterprises to participate in the 4th CISCE, leveraging the platform to expand cooperation networks, connect project resources and promote practical cooperation.

Representatives from Huawei Technologies (Belgium) and the Italian startup HyperWind exchanged views on the application of digital technologies in energy transition and technical solutions for improving wind energy efficiency, respectively. A representative from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges shared experiences on expanding international cooperation through the CISCE.

The 4th CISCE is scheduled to take place in Beijing from June 22 - 26. The exhibition will feature six key industrial chains — advanced manufacturing, clean energy, smart vehicles, digital technology, healthy living and green agriculture — and include a supply chain service area.
