On July 4th, the Welcome Banquet for the Japanese Association for the Promotion of International Trade (JAPIT) Delegation to China and Promotion Conference for the First China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was successfully held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Yohei Kono, President of the JAPIT and former Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives, attended and addressed the banquet.

Ren Hongbin said that as major economic and trade partners for more than five decades, China and Japan have reinforced each other and achieved mutual success, with interests deeply intertwined. The Japanese economic circle is welcome to continue deepening cooperation with China, keep industrial and supply chains stable and smooth, share dividends of Chinas economic development, and add a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Japan. The CCPIT, together with the JAPIT, is willing to meet the expectations of the economic circles of the two countries, build more platforms and provide more opportunities for the two countries to expand economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, and make greater contributions to the sustained, sound and steady development of bilateral relations.

At the banquet, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and holding the first CISCE. A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) and the Affairs Department of the JAPIT was signed on site. Speeches were delivered by representatives from the participating Japanese enterprises.

The event was attended by around 100 representatives from the two countries.
