At the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), currently being held in Beijing from June 22-26, Hainan State Farms Investment Holding Group Co. Ltd. (HSF) is leading the province's presence in the Green Agriculture section with six subsidiaries. Making its third appearance at the expo, the group is showcasing its integrated agricultural supply chain — from seed breeding to the global dining table. Meanwhile, Hainan is appearing as domestic guest of honor for the first time.

This year marks the debut of a newly merged entity within the group, formed by the consolidation of its fruit and vegetable and tropical crops subsidiaries. The merger aligns with a province-wide push to strengthen agricultural branding in Hainan, which positions the group as a key player in integrating the island's tropical cash crops and produce. The display covers the entire tropical agricultural chain — from planting and processing to trade and digital supply chain management.
The group is showcasing several innovative products at the CISCE that reflect a push to move beyond traditional agriculture. Basha green tea, a longtime local specialty, is now being used in scented soaps and aromatherapy products. "It's a transformation from a cup of tea to aesthetics," said a staff member. Dapo pepper, traditionally sold as a seasoning, now comes in the form of a savory sauce. The group is also presenting crispy wagyu bites, turning a table-center dish into a snack, catering to changing consumer habits.
Among the more eye-catching offerings is a frozen mango dessert — a whole mango preserved using flash-freezing technology at minus 18 degrees Celsius. The method, according to the group, locks in the fruit's original flavor while also helping to address seasonal oversupply.

Through the expo, the group has already secured strategic cooperation agreements with companies from Wuhan and Hunan province, aiming to establish two-way trade: Hainan's produce heads to central China, while products from those regions enter the Hainan market. "We are riding the momentum of the Hainan Free Trade Port and leveraging our guest-of-honor status at the expo to connect with more business partners," the group said in a statement.
According to Ai Yilun, general manager of HSF, the group is currently focusing on five priorities — channel expansion, cold chain logistics, production-to-market coordination, contract farming and cross-border trade — as it works to build a supply and sales system rooted in Hainan, serving the whole country and connecting to global markets.
The group's participation is backed by broader provincial policy goals. This February, Hainan launched a three-year action plan to strengthen its "Hainan Fresh Products" agricultural brand, with a focus on building unified quality and traceability standards.
For HSF, the expo is not just a showcase — it is a platform to connect its supply chain with partners across China and beyond. The group is the third-largest state farm region in the country and operates large-scale tropical crop operations across the island.
