The Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo
Beijing Initiative
The Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) opened in Beijing, China, on June 22, 2026. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and representatives of the global business community reached a consensus under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future”, and jointly issued the following initiative upon in-depth exchange and discussion.
Jointly Enhancing the Resilience of Industrial and Supply Chains. Stable and unimpeded industrial and supply chains are an essential safeguard for the sound development of the global economy. We call on the global business community to practice true multilateralism and to steadfastly safeguard the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core and rules as its foundation, while deepening international cooperation in industrial and supply chains through concrete actions. We advocate proactively aligning with high-standard international economic and trade rules, reducing institutional barriers, and improving the efficiency of industrial and supply chain coordination. We encourage enterprises from all countries to deepen industrial collaboration, strengthen areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, and build more equitable, inclusive, and constructive industrial and supply chain partnerships.
Fostering New Strengths for Innovation-Driven Development. Innovation is the primary driving force for development. We call on the global business community to give full play to the driving and empowering role of emerging technologies, deepen research and development collaboration, and accelerate the development of new quality productive forces. We advocate technology sharing and collaborative innovation, and we encourage synergized development among enterprises of all sizes, active participation in global innovation networks, and sharing of application scenarios. We support an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial innovation environment, as well as the deep integration of industrial and technological innovation, so that technological achievements can benefit more countries and enterprises, and a more enabling ecosystem can be fostered for the upgrading and development of industrial and supply chains.
Accelerating Digital and Intelligent Transformation. Digitalization and intelligent technologies are profoundly reshaping global industrial development and the international division of labor. We call on the business community to advance the deep integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence throughout the entire process of research and development, industrial design, manufacturing, and operational management, so that intelligent technologies can better empower all industries and unlock greater potential for smart development. We advocate joint formulation and promotion of international standards for smart supply chains, and we call for efficient, convenient and secure cross-border data flows and mutual recognition of standards, and greater support for the digital and intelligent transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises to bridge the intelligence divide. We encourage collective efforts to foster an open, fair, and non-discriminatory environment for the development of artificial intelligence, and international coordination and cooperation to establish a global governance framework and rules that are broadly recognized.
Promoting Green and Low-Carbon Development. The green and low-carbon transition concerns the shared future of humanity and creates broad opportunities for cooperation within the global business community. We call on the business community to deepen the alignment of green development strategies, integrate green principles into the full lifecycle management of supply chains, replace unilateral restrictions with coordinated rules, and oppose protectionism in the name of environmental protection. We encourage green production and sustainable lifestyles, and we call for accelerating exchanges, cooperation, and technology sharing in green development, so as to drive forward the green and low-carbon transformation of industrial and supply chains and further boost win-win international cooperation toward low-carbon development.
Deepening Cooperation within the Global Business Community. The business community is a backbone force in strengthening global cooperation in industrial and supply chains. We call on the global business community to fully leverage our innovation vitality and resource integration capabilities, make good use of platforms such as the China International Supply Chain Expo to enhance exchanges and cooperation, actively participate in global industrial and supply chain cooperation, and deeply integrate into global industrial and supply chain systems. We encourage trade and investment promotion agencies and business associations from all countries to play their role as bridges and connectors, build high-quality platforms for economic and trade cooperation, facilitate the implementation of concrete cooperation projects, and work for coordinated development between traditional and emerging industries. These efforts will help cultivate new drivers of economic growth and create synergy of industrial chains, supply chains, innovation chains, and capital chains.
We welcome business communities of more countries to join this initiative, champion open cooperation and innovation, safeguard international rules, strengthen and extend industrial and supply chains. With concrete actions, let us deepen international cooperation on industrial and supply chains and jointly create a new development landscape that is more resilient, more sustainable, and beneficial for all.
