At the invitation of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) organized a Chinese business delegation to visit Istanbul and Ankara from Feb. 6 to 8.

Coinciding with the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye, the visit aimed to actively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state during their Tianjin meeting in August 2025, and to deepen practical cooperation between the business communities of both countries. During the visit, CCPIT chairman Ren Hongbin led the delegation in extensive exchanges with Turkish government officials and business leaders.

The delegation held meetings with Türkiye's minister of trade Ömer Bolat, minister of industry and technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and minister of energy and natural resources Alparslan Bayraktar. It also engaged in discussions with representatives from key Turkish business associations, including the DEİK, the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), as well as executives from major Turkish enterprises such as ATA Group.

The delegation highlighted China's approach of promoting reform and development through openness, sharing opportunities and pursuing common development with all countries. It emphasized the CCPIT's willingness to work with Türkiye to explore cooperation potential under the Belt and Road framework and to achieve higher levels of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. Turkish stakeholders were also invited to actively participate in the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).

Turkish government and business representatives highly praised the resilience of China's economic development, noting broad prospects for cooperation in supply chains. They expressed anticipation for expanding trade and investment collaboration during China's 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) and for achieving mutual success through reciprocal engagement.

During the visit, the CCPIT, together with the DEİK and TOBB, co-hosted the 3rd China-Türkiye Economic and Trade Forum and renewed memoranda of understanding on cooperation with both institutions.

More than 300 representatives from various sectors in China and Türkiye participated in exchanges and business matchmaking activities focused on key areas of cooperation.
