Yili Group has participated for three consecutive years in the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), showcasing the achievements of China's dairy industry in green growth and innovation.

"The CISCE is the world's first national-level exhibition themed on supply chains and serves as an important platform for global industrial cooperation," said Xu Ke, vice president of Yili Group, in an exclusive interview with China.org.cn.

"At this year’s expo, we will highlight the remarkable journey of China's dairy industry in transitioning from 'catching up’ to ‘surpassing' through collaborative efforts across the entire supply chain,” added Xu. “In just twenty years, we have bridged the gap of over a century with developed countries."

As the world pursues sustainable development, green growth has become crucial, including in the dairy sector.

Yili pioneered the concept of “green leadership” in 2007, which later evolved into its “green supply chain” strategy, making it a forerunner in the sustainable practices of China's dairy industry.

To date, 44 of Yili’s subsidiaries hold “green factory” certifications, the highest in the industry. The company also continually optimizes packaging design and materials to reduce its carbon footprint.

Xu noted that green growth poses significant challenges for the dairy sector, as every link—from feed cultivation to sales—involves carbon emissions. In response, Yili leverages its leading innovation system to align the innovation chain with the industrial chain, aiming to overcome technological bottlenecks and enhance the competitiveness of China's dairy industry.

During this year’s event, Yili, in collaboration with the Dairy Association of China and global partners, jointly launched an initiative on the quality of China’s dairy industry. This underscores the company’s commitment to deepening global cooperation, exploring innovative supply chain development, and safeguarding the health of consumers worldwide.
