Ren Hongbin heads Chinese business delegation to Kazakhstan

Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of nearly 100 companies and over 230 Chinese entrepreneurs to Astana, Kazakhstan, from June 16-19. 

 

Ren Hongbin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the second meeting of the Central Asia-China Business Council

 

The delegation attended the second meeting of the Central Asia-China Business Council, aiming to promote the implementation of key agreements from the China-Central Asia Summit and deepen cooperation between Chinese and Central Asian businesses.

 

During the visit, Ren engaged in discussions with Kazakh political and business leaders, including Arman Shakkaliyev, minister of trade and integration of Kazakhstan; Nurlan Zhakupov, chairman of the board of JSC Samruk Kazyna Fund; and Renat Bekturov, governor of the Astana International Financial Center. He also exchanged views with representatives from the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

 

The event resulted in the signing of 32 agreements and memorandums of understanding worth approximately $11 billion. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on green energy development and information technology cooperation, leading to multiple collaborative outcomes.
