At the regular press conference for October held by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on October 31, 2023, a reporter from Xinhua News Agency asked a question about the exhibitor application for the First CISCE. Zhang Xin, spokesman of CCPIT, responded.
Xinhua reporter: We know the First CISCE will be held in Shunyi Hall of China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) from November 28 to December 2. The countdown to the opening is less than one month. How is the exhibitor application going on?
Zhang Xin: The First CISCE is an international exchange and cooperation platform for maintaining the stability of the global industrial and supply chains. It has attracted many Chinese and foreign enterprises. The exhibitor application has been successfully completed, and the expected goal has been realized.
First, it is a high-profile international event. Among more than 400 booths of the First CISCE, there are about 100 foreign enterprises and exhibitors, accounting for more than 25% of the total. They come from 50 countries and regions, including the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Mexico, the U.K., Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, and ROK. In addition to the booths in the Smart Vehicle Chain, Green Agriculture Chain, Clean Energy Chain, Digital Science and Technology Chain, Healthy Life Chain, and Supply Chain Service Zone, there are also 20 country and region-specific exhibition zones.
Second, outstanding exhibitors are participating. Most exhibitors at the First CISCE are Fortune 500 companies, China’s top 500 companies, China’s top 500 private companies, those producing unique and novel products with specialized and sophisticated technologies, single-product-manufacturing champions, and other representative and distinctive enterprises. We are working with exhibitors to improve the exhibition program to vividly present the “chain” story.
Third, all-around services are provided. The First CISCE has received strong support from different stakeholders. State Administration for Market Regulation and Beijing Customs District have introduced a series of measures to facilitate customs clearance and transportation for overseas exhibitors. Beijing Municipality has established a working mechanism for CISCE, ensuring smooth traffic, publicity and reporting, emergency service, and environment optimization. We have completed the upgrading and renovation of the exhibition hall and made a meticulous on-site management plan. Business consulting, multilingual translation and other professional service providers have been recruited. We will provide one-stop, professional and high-quality services and strive to enhance the convenience, comfort and satisfaction of exhibitors and traders.
Fourth, practical intellectual property services are provided. We have strengthened cooperation with intellectual property management departments. We will set up an intellectual property column on the official website of CISCE to provide information on laws, regulations and information guidelines. An on-site intellectual property service center will also be established, inviting authoritative experts to provide professional services on patent and trademark application and acceptance, intellectual property rights protection consultation, and dispute mediation.
